The Rab CWIF took place over the weekend and the festival featured the usual mix of big discounts from sponsors, fancy dress, a new haircut from Gareth Parry and some hard climbing thrown in for good measure. British climber Nathan Phillips and France's Melissa Le Nevé took the top spots after a fiercely contested final.
The men's final featured some desperate problems and 24 year-old Phillips secured his title before the final problem by securing the 'zone' holds faster than Canada's Sean McColl.
The women's competition came down to the final problem and Chloe Caulier provided an exciting finale by nearly pinching the top spot, although Melissa Le Nevé managed to hold on for her second CWIF win. She told commentators: 'CWIF is an amazing experience as always, I love coming here, I love the style, the people, the British humour and the city is very nice.'
