Even better the right way up!

Always find it hard to know what way round to put it, but as I took it pushing out from the cliff on a rope this is the way it looked in real life. Also I prefer the ground at the bottom of the picture.

Personally I prefer it rotated 90 degrees to the left but whichever way you look at it it's a superbly atmospheric shot. Congrats.

Fantastic

Nice picture Uisdean. To be picky, isn't it all ground?? If anything there's more sky at the bottom :D

i get fed up with saying this, but the photo is upside down. Think about it!

Can someone point me to something that outlines the rules of how to orientate a photo? This looks like the correct way up to me. The climber is facing upwards and ground is at the bottom. The other way looks like the climber is lying on the ground.

Definitely think you chose the best orientation... cracking photo.

If you look carefully you can just make out the belayer. what a guy! looks like he's not paying any attention at all.... would be better the right way up ;-)

Great shot. I'm on the side of flip it - for me it's all about how my brain responds to the photo. On this one it feels like my head is trying to flip it, I think it's the fact that the ground is in the wrong orientation. Seems more natural flipped. 5* though

I think it's easy to orientate climbing photos. If the belayer is (or would be if visible) upside down in the photo, then the photo is upside down. The route in this photo doesn't appear to be overhanging to me, so it feels flipped.
Still, really nice photo with clean cut angles.
