The coire is fairly unique to the Cairngorms as it faces south allowing plenty sunshine. Many of the rock routes dry very quickly and can often be climbed early or late in the year. The sunny aspect does affect the winter routes which will be more prone to stripping of snow.
Can be approached from south by the Linn of Dee (3/3.5hrs) or from the north by the ski area car park (2.5/3hrs)
