Chopicalqui or Chopicallqui is a mountain in the Cordillera Blanca area in the Andes of Peru. With a summit elevation of 6,354m above sea level it is one of the highest peaks of the Cordillera Blanca.
The most common route is the Southwest Ridge. The upper ridge is quite straightforward but can become impassable due to powder snow.
Take the collectivo from Huaraz to Caraz and then the collectivo / taxi into the mountains towards the standard route on Pisco. The approch to Chopa starts on a left-hand bend before the road starts to snake upwards.
I think height of this should be 6354 m. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chopicalqui tsl42 - 11/Jul/15 |
