"Strangely neglected." Doesn't offer much at high grades, but the routes at the lower grades are good lengths - up to 510ft, all multi-pitch. Some loose rock.
Park at the end (or earlier) of the narrow road leading from the village of Fron (at SH 522 554); then an easy walk across the moor - 20 mins.
Alternatively, public footpath from Betws Garmon (SH 546 563) takes 50mins.
I took a walk upto this climb on 28/05/09 seems though I live 5 minutes drive away, and the walk took me 45 minutes. I thought I would let other people know so nobody gets confused or lost!? There is a cave with a small fence which is a great safe haven if weather turns bad, it offers shelter from the wind and rain. I took a 15 minute rest there so I was out of the sunlight and it was great. S-Crew - 28/May/09 |
