Rocktype Gritstone
Altitude 625m a.s.l
Faces NE
The craggy hillside above the Marchlyn Bach reservoir has various short outcrops and boulder problems. The aspect means that some parts are prone to seepage and vegetation, but where it is clean the rock is rough and high quality Bronllwyd Grit.
Depending on which part of the crag you are aiming for, either walk straight up from the top end of the lower reservoir, or walk up the broad north ridge of Elidir Fach from the bottom of the reservoir, and then cut across or drop in.
