Lagonda at Far Hill Crag, Duddon, Lakes © Mark Glaister
An excellent buttress of sheer rock, packed with good routes from E1 to E5, most would be worth an extra star on a more popular crag. Exceptionally rough rock that dries quickly despite it's aspect.
Descent: to the left; if facing the crag.
One hour walk (but 40 mins in the Wired guide!). Park at the gate where the Walna Scar road turns nasty, walk up the endless easy track to the reservoir, and then skirt around it's south edge on a reasonable sheep trail.
Approach was 40 mins as per the wired guide. 20mins to reservoir then a further 20 mins to the crag Adam Ellwood - 22/Jun/18 |
