Short climbs on clean grey diorite. The HVS in the gully below the fort are testpieces, but are dry on most HW. The stack off the back of the fort with most of the climbs on is reached by crossing a very tidal gully. Some bouldering around, especially traversing on the walls of the fort.
Take the right fork of the road across the common and park at either the public carpark by the Martello tower or the small one a bit further towards the fort on the right for the crags by the fort.
Full-bore shooting takes place on Saturdays on the headland in summer which prevents access to both this crag and Martello Wall. Shooting dates are listed on the Vale Parish website in the useful information section.
