Helm crag emerging from early morning mist. This was a magical morning after two weeks of solid lakes rain! © robhowell
A small crag with trad and bouldering on good rough rock. Perfect for a hot day as will catch a breeze. Bouldering mostly undeveloped. Video available on youtube exisitng 'Lion & Lamb boudlering'.

Easiest access to crag is follow Helm Crag path up hillside a few yards until you get to a big cairn where you fork off left.
Great routes but gear is well spaced so expect to be sand bagged! Conan - 06/Jun/11 |

As said above - a good evening crag. Quite slatey in its lower reaches but lovely, rough rock from mid-hieght upwards. Beautiful outlook, peaceful and a few cracking routes; worth a visit. loz01 - 30/May/07 |
