Porthclais is the harbour for St. David's and has been the main route into the city for pilgrims, saints and traders for centuries. It is one of the more popular climbing venues with good quality sandstone routes, mostly in the lower grades.
There is ample parking and public toilets in the old gas works site 100m inland just beyond the boat park.
Approach from Porthclais car park in 5-15 mins. The rock bridge between 'Dreamboat Annie' and 'The Arete' has been removed by the National Trust. This area has now stabilised although there is some loose rock just right of 'Inset'. Access to Grey slab is via a higher path behind the area where the rock was removed.
