Sentinel Rock is a beautiful 120m high free standing tower slightly NW of Sentinel Peak. Sentinel Rock/Tower is a pure trad crag with gorgeous vertical lines, chimneys and never ending loads of loose rock.
There are 8 climbs on Sentinel Rock in the guidebook and a few projects as well as others not in the guide. There are an additional 4 routes on the adjacent Sentinel Peak. The routes vary from VD to E2
All of the routes can be climbed in 2-4 pitches.
Once you reach the top descent is possible from either descent gully on the left or right side. The Left side descent gully has a 6m easy down climb. There is also and abseil point set up above the down climb consisting of a few slings and cords around natural pro with a rappel ring.
