An attractive line of walls above the river gorge of the River Hornad set in a lovely woodland. Idyllic setting. Rock is quite varied; not bad but just continuously interesting. Think Derbyshire Dales but with better rock and nicer surroundings.
I've used the UIAA grades in my old guide and classed the routes as 'sport'. Be aware that, like many Eastern European areas, you needn't expect new bolts every two meters! It may have been re-equipped but I recall a mix of old pegs and bolts averaging 4 or 5 per 25m route. A small trad rack would pay dividends.
This and Drevenik make a good alternative if the Tatras are under poor weather.
From Poprad follow the D1 to Spisske Stvrtok. From here take the 536 towards Smizany and turn off west to Spisske Tomasovce.
It is a 30min walk from just past the railway line heading southeast passing the Hotel Flora. Or continue along minor roads to Cingov (good bar!) from where there is also a 30min walk along above the river heading west.
