Off on a family holiday soon to Eskdale, but wherever we go I always sneak my flight pad in the roof box.

Any recommendations for lowball problems or traverses suitable for a flight pad? Ideally within walking/short drive from fisherground so I can sneak out for an evening mess?

Never mind. It's chuckled it down all day, and set to stay all week!

The heron stones in esk are perfect for fam. Lovely place right by the river.. 1 boulder that's not very high with about 15 problems some decent problems. Then one slighlty higher boulder with easy problems. There a vid on vimeo of it

The boulders on eskdale common dry in an hr or two if it's dry and breezy. Strong arete is great.

Thanks! Managed to get on the Animal Boulder just now for a couple hours after getting back from our day on the fells. Surprisingly dry! Managed a bizzare little traverse in bracken and thorns, then a really nice problem up a clean wall (the iron cross).
