I've been using the same kit for a while and think it's time I upgraded, does anyone have any information on how I can recycle my old gear? (Helmet, Ropes, 'biners, shoes etc)

You can make quite cool rope mats from retired climbing rope. Old hardware is occasionally sought after by people making installations of various kinds.

If the gear is in good condition and you believe still fit for purpose, there is a second hand market on here. Rockshoes aren't PPE so no concerns, metalwork is generally fine but be wary of old textile items or helmets (what counts as old?). 

For gear past the end of its life check out scavenger, they have collection bins at many walls and will repurpose all kinds of retired gear.
