Promoting Climbing for the community, delivered by the community.

Climb Hitchin is a community interest company promoting and supporting both indoor and outdoor climbing in Hitchin and the surrounding areas. We are a volunteer organisation, click here if you are interested in supporting us. We are fortunate to have access to the climbing wall at the Priory School.

Space is limited per session and must be booked in advance on this website. Parking is available on site and the wall is located in the sports hall just to the left as you face the school (where the arrow is on the map below).

We offer:

• Independent climbing sessions for signed-off climbers 
• Top/Bottom rope climbing and instruction for beginners
• Taster sessions for those new to climbing to have a go (5+)
• NICAS levels 1, 2 &3 for climbers aged 7+
• Ongoing programmes for those who have finished Level 2 of NICAS and above
• Family climbing for signed-off climbing wanting to bring and belay for their children
• Lead climbing and instruction in how to lead climb and lead climbing development (18+)
• Movement and technique Coaching in a group or 1:1/1:2
• Outdoor days around top-roping or learning sport or trad climbing, delivered by Walk Climb Summit
• Climbing Parties (please email to equire and book)

We use both of these to provide updates and a community for our climbers. 

If you haven't climbed with us before you'll need to complete a new climber registration form or if you are under 18 an under 18 new climber registration form. You can do this at any time but must be completed before you arrive to climb. Don't worry about getting a response or signed-off before your first session just make sure you've filled it in. Please make sure you save the confirmation email as you may need to update your submission once you've completed a course or training.

For those who have booked sessions that are then cancelled, the typical timescale for these refunds is 7-10 days via Stripe. If you don't receive a refund by this time please do send an email.
