Small crag packed with a wide range of routes just a short drive from Meiringen. Well placed for some valley cragging if the high mountains and passes are holding bad weather.
Good quality grey and grippy limestone. Adequate bolts and all routes equipped with lower-off points. Most routes 15-20m but some longer two pitch routes on the upper section.
Drive out of Meiringen and through Hausen and then uphill. Park on a corner next to the entrance to the teepee encampment. Walk along the track, past a smallholding and across the railway. Turn right and head down the way for about 15 minutes, crossing a stream and passing a small crag on the left. Beretli is to be found stretching out on the left of the track just after a sharp left hand bend.
If climbing on the upper section it is a diffcult and muddy scramble up but is equipped with a knotted rope hand rail.
The crag is sometimes used by local teaching groups.
