Kjerringveggen is the most developed and used sector of the Haugfjell area - pleasant single-pitch climbing above the lake; trad and sport routes side by side. There are also longer routes on slabs viewed on the approach.
Kjerringveggen - From the parking area follow path under the dam wall and pick up a faint cairned path (orange paint) south across granite dome baring left of the top to drop down on left of face above lake.
Slabs - From the parking, cross the footbridge, past the dam and up the slabs - cairns and bits of a path, until you can see the lake down and right. Go round the end of this and aim for the grove of trees down and left of the slab then cross the rounded rib rightwards on ledges to reach the foot of the face.
