Three different Klettergarten in the Klausenpass:
1) Windeggen is at 1530m, at the first (and only) tunnel driving up to the pass in an easterly direction, 7km from Unterschächen, or 6km west of the pass. The crag is on the outside of the south side of the tunnel, parking just east of the tunnel. It is a very pleasant spot, south facing with a flat grassy area at the bottom, with views to snowy mountains. The climbs are interesting, on rough limestone with an initial steepness followed by a slab.
2) Niermerstaffel is at 1880m, 25 minutes walk southeast of the parking at the pass, 47 climbs.
3) Urnerboden, at 1390m on the east side of the pass, is two 7m high boulders, bolted with a total of 23 routes. The boulders are on the north side of the road, at the west end of the village. Park in the large parking lot by the church in the middle of the village.
