La Mòmia (the Mummy) is the peak which stand in front (east) of the L'Elephant when veiwed from the Monastry.
La Mòmia can also be approached from the Funicular de Sant Joan by starting on the path to Sant Jeroni and taking right fork to traverse across to Sant Benet area, or by climbing up one of the lower crags such as l'Elefantet.
Parking is at the Monastery (cost Euro 6 in 2014).
Climbs are mostly multipitch.
At Montserrat, protection varies particularly on multipitch climbs. Some climbs have modern bolts, whilst others have old bolts ("burins") and some climbs are not equipped at all. Distance between bolts varies by climb and by difficulty with easy sections generally being runout. Climbs with cracks often require trad gear such as cams to protect the crack sections. The faces are harder to protect with trad gear but sometimes offer pockets for cams and large pebbles for slings.
