Pocketopia is a discontinuous band of highly pocketed volcanic tuff on the undulating plateau just north of the Owens River about 5 miles downstream of the Crowley Lake Dam. It is east-facing and at an altitude of 7300 feet, making it a chilly venue on winter afternoons.
