Store Skagatölstind seen from Hytten på Bandet © sanguine
Store Skagastølstind, or Storen, is the 3rd highest mountain in Norway but more Alpine in character than summits higher. There are no walking routes to the summit. The mountain offers a mixture of classic ridge traverses, gullies and walls.
Turtagrø offers the shortest approach. Some routes can be climbed from Hytta på bandet but sleeping equipment is needed.
