The National Trust (who own the Dewerstone and surrounding land) are happy to allow climbing access but ask that abseil descent from trees is not used to prevent damage to the trees.
Dates: 21 April to 30 June
Reason: Nesting Birds
Kestrels are nesting on Upper Raven Buttress - it is worth avoiding these rarely visited climbs while the birds are nesting and it is likely that the young will have fledged by the end of June.
Rockfax Description
The bald looking wall to the right of Fly on the Wall's second pitch is an exciting yet brief jaunt. Start as for Fly on the Wall.
1) 4b, 10m. Fly on the Wall pitch 1.
2) 5b, 15m. From the large flake, work up right to a peg in a horizontal break. Make some thin pulls up the wall above to meet Fly on the Wall and finish up it. The original line - Valhalla Wall HVS 5a - traversed the horizontal break right from the peg to join and finish up Imperialist - this is also a good pitch. © Rockfax
UKC Logbook Description
2a) 5b. Climb to the break (occasional peg), and finish direct.
