Looking up Slab Right © CyberTaff
Small outcrops of good rock in a quiet moorland setting. Set in a miniature glen, with views of the Highlands. you may have to share with Wheatear, Stonechat and the odd cow.
Grades may be soft, but reflect the highball/trad crossover nature of some of the climbing. Similar in scope to Kips Crag but more extensive and with better rock.
The best routes are quick drying but some mossy areas take a few days to dry out completely.
From the Lossburn Reservoir track.
First jaunt to the crag in over two years. The area around Diagonal Groove and Main Wall is clean for the most part with no visible loose rock. The area around MossyWall Centre and Slab Right was visibly more mossy and black than I remembered but again the rock seams solid. Could really do with a good clean as there is some worthwhile lines on here. CyberTaff - 01/Jun/14 |

The tag on the photo is a car park. I know the area a little - but directions to the crag (approximate location / grid ref) would be great if anyone can help? Thanks! J Brown - 13/Jun/12 |
