Absolutely love this shot. I'm no photograph expert, I like what I like, but was wondering if it would look better without the person on the top? Not a negative comment at all, and don't know how much work it would be, just wonder what it would look like. Still got 5 from me, love it!

Another 5 from me.
Colin Moody - 21/Jun/09
And another from me. Brings back some good memories!
Padraig - 23/Jun/09
Top photo. I like the person on top, it would be even better if they were picniking unaware of the climber or crawling towards the edge in an untintentional mirror of the climbers body position.
Good video here that shows the size of the crack in it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BO4YYCQmUBk

binjuice - 29/Jun/09
Great photo! Is this route on the UKC database? Anyone got a link?
ERU - 29/Jun/09
top photo - would look great if someone was mid swan dive off the edge.
rapidbuild - 29/Jun/09
awesome photo & what a roof!
Chris Lambert - 30/Jun/09
Wow what a route.....What grade is it etc?
paul wood - 30/Jun/09
Have to agree with Dan Arkle here, that is some crack in that roof, a jammers paradise!

The photo of this route in the new Burren guide by Peter Owen published by MCI has the climber at similar position but much closer up and losing lots of uninteresting sky as in this photo. Check out the guidebook instead. S. Smith should've zoomed into the action a bit more or cropped it closer at least. The horizon looks a bit wonky as well.

amazing, but what kinda grade does a route like this have? it looks insane, the rock looks like its gonna peel off any second
Ensô - 08/Jul/09
Apparently it's E46a.
Climber_Bill - 08/Jul/09
Superb shot, makes me wanna have a go, even though I'd fail like a tart. No way I could put my BFA into that position.
I think the perspective, subject, sense of movement, sense of thrill & adventure are all tremendously captured. I'd have been pleased as punch to have taken that shot myself

And the rope and runners

This photo would look better if Chuck Norris and Charlie Sheen were fighting in midair on the left. Honestly bloody critics eh :)
Stone Muppet - 10/Mar/11

"ok honey, but make sure you go to the toilet over the edge we dont want people to get a nasty shock."

I was just thinking how awesome it would be to go there. looked it up, it's a bit far for a day trip from London...
krishewz - 01/Jul/11
