We have several inspiring opportunities available to join some of our UK and alpine based climbing and training courses, both this weekend and this summer alpine season...
This weekend..
13-14 April, we have 1 place available on a Matterhorn training course based in Fort William, usually climbing 1 day on the north face of Ben Nevis and 1 day in Glencoe. Details and booking here:
Then, from a base in Chamonix we have a couple of 3 day courses which can be linked together or done separately according to your preference.
19-21 June 2024, 3 Day Matterhorn Training Course
This fine tough Chamonix based Matterhorn training course offers the opportunity to blend alpinism with middle and high mountain rock climbing over an action packed & inspiring 3 day programme. The idea is to enjoy 3 good varied alpine routes whilst simultaneously refining the essential movement skills on different types of terrain including scrambling, rock climbing and mountaineering on snowy & mixed terrain.
22-24 June 2024, 3 Day Climb The Dufourspitze Course
The Dufourspitze is the highest peak of the Monterosa Massif which forms a stunning high mountain range high on the Swiss – Italian alpine border. At 4634m this is the highest peak in Switzerland and the 2nd highest in the Alps. Its ascent represents an inspiring mountaineering challenge with both significant physical and technical elements meaning some good training is required in advance as well as pre summit acclimatisation. The superb ‘new’ Monte Rosa Hut as Base Camp only further adds to the appeal of this wonderful trip deep in to what is perhaps the most spectacular high mountain skyline of the entire European Alps.
