A friend and I are trying to add some hikes using the Map my Route feature. Both of us are getting stuck at Gathering Elevation Data. I can't find any discussion about this when searching.
Is it a known issue?
That issue tends to happen with me when I'm trying to add a large gpx file. I just give up and draw a simplified route by hand. Smaller files are ok.
