We are a mountaineering club based in Worcestershire and bring together a wide range of people who have an interest in walking, climbing, scrambling, ice climbing – in fact any aspect of mountaineering and most other outdoor activities!
The Club is affiliated to the BMC.
We usually have a social meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month from 8.30pm at The Cross Inn, Install B60 1EW. Meets are currently on hold due to Covid-19 restrictions.
We also arrange weekend Club meets at various locations and will be re-starting these when Covid-19 restrictions ease.
Members often meet at Redpoint Worcester climbing wall for a social climb and to try to keep climbing skills up.
The Club also own a climbers hut in Tremadog, North Wales: https://brmc.club/hut which is opposite the famous 'Eric's Cafe'. The hut is currently open to members bookings only, due to the Welsh Covid-19 restrictions, and will be reopened as soon as we can to other clubs, organisations and the general public. Please do have a look at the link to the hut for the facilities, which include: two dorms, sleeping 15 people, one dorm being on the ground floor for easy access; two showers, two toilets, two washrooms; large kitchen and dining area; large lounge with log burner; basic drying room; parking for 9 cars. It's a two minute walk from the Bwlch-Y-Moch Crag, ten minutes walk from Craig Pant Ifan, twenty minutes walk from Tremadog village and easy driving to Porthmadog, Anglesey, Ogwen, Moelwyns, just to name a few.
