Approach notes

By car, leaving from Tijuca or Barra, go up towards Alto da Boa Vista and take Estrada da Pedra Bonita. If you are coming from São Conrado, take Estrada das Canoas.

Regardless of which option you choose, drive until you find the guardhouse that marks the beginning of the road to the Pedra Bonita flight ramp. Go up towards the ramp and leave your car in the first parking lot. The second is for those who are going to jump.

You can get to the guardhouse by bus. To do this, take the 448 (Maracaí x São Conrado), which leaves from São Conrado and stops at a stop in front of the Alto da Boa Vista Fire Department headquarters.

When you arrive at the parking lot by car, walk down the way you came up. You will pass in front of another guardhouse, on the left, which marks the beginning of the trail to the top of Pedra Bonita. Continue for about 50m, until you find a cistern on the right. The trail to the base of the routes starts there.

If you are on foot, go up from the guardhouse until you find the cistern, which will be on your left.

Go over the cistern and enter the forest, looking for the trail that may not be very well defined. Keep going up, but very gently, trying to stay to the right of a small depression, but without going into it. Further ahead, the trail becomes a little more defined, passes next to a block and soon after you will see the wall.

Following all the directions, you will reach the base of Olimpo, marked by its initial opposition. Alda Pacheco will be right on the left, where the rock is greenish.
