Climbs 4
Rocktype Limestone
Altitude 2888m a.s.l
Faces NE
The obvious icefalls above the shrine village of Sidi Chamharouch, which form several banked tiers of single pitch cascades. They can be seen prominently from the main trail up to Toubkal so are well accessible from Imlil. Ice starts building early in the season, fed by drainage further up the cwm, and last throughout the winter.
Start from the trail head town of Imlil and follow the main Toubkal trail through Aremd to Sidi Chamharouch. From there continue to follow the trail before breaking off left into the obvious cwm which will be unmissable with generally fat icefalls. Alternatively, base yourself at one of the Toubkal refuges and then back track down the trail.
