There are 3 routes here though the main attratction of this area is the expanse of the short sea-cliffs below the path. The routes are described right to left. At the right-hand end of the open quarry is a large slab.
The A493 Dolgellau to Tywyn coast-road bends sharply at the entrance to Cae-Du farm and caravan site. Drive carefully through the farmyard and park at the caravan site (£2 in 2011). The west-facing quarry walls are 400 metres south of the site and above the railway line.
parking fee is now 2. Best to access from the path on the east side of the railway line then cross over the railway line to get to the crag. nice little routes all might as well be solos as the only places for gear are very suspect, half the fence posts at the top have come out and the approach and top of crag are very over grown with brambles. mjpr - 10/Jul/14 |
