An escarpment of good solid sandstone giving a worthwhile bouldering venue with problems from Font 3 to 7b+.
The crag is above flat grass at the edge of a field so it is very family friendly, although the bouldering is highball so a pad is recommended. knotted rope at intervals along the crag provide a novel decent!
The crag goes into the shade around 16.00 with climbing possible through the summer months.
(topo availible online, link to follow soon!)
From Sarlat, drive south to Carsac, continue south through the village towards the Dordogne and take the last turn off right before the bridge over the river, signposted "St Rome".
Continue 100m to park on the left beside a play park/nursery.Walk down a gravel track to the left of the Nursery and turn right to the crag at the bottom of the hill. Approx 1 min walk.
Does anyone have a topo please? tveeg - 17/Sep/18 |

Most of the down-climb ropes have been removed. Please either take some tatt to replace them or pack a HUGE mat/small parachute! Daisyduke - 07/Aug/15 |

There are several bolted routes on the crag now. Also the locals appear to have very helpfully left bouldering mats there. Ian_Whitfield - 22/Aug/11 |
