A series of dramatic aretes and surrounding walls on the Northern tip of Arenning Fawr, with a fairly steady approach. Many routes will require a summer drought to take advantage of their inspiring and certainly worthwhile lines, but one small clean West-facing wall has universal appeal.
Park opposite the old quarry on the minor road running parallel to the A4212. Follow the steady quarry track to near it's end, then scramble straight up to the crag.
Not only a summer drought but also a fair bit of cleaning seems to be needed apart from the right hand wall (Rapscallion etc). Left of this not much appeals in its present state.
The approach up the quarry track is much the easier: see if you can manage it in the 15 mins allowed in the guide! harold walmsley - 22/Jul/14 |
