Good place for beginner routes, but watch the crowds. Like 123 Wall, very early morning and lunch time tend to be less busy. A couple harder climbs that are very nice. In general not the best crag at Krabi, but worth a visit for the few routes that are very good. Decent bar/cafe just under the cliff and tranquil lunch spot in the jungle.
There is a trail from Ton Sai, although can be tough to find especially coming from the Railay side. Otherwise accessible from East Railay. Don't miss a visit to Diamond Cave (national park - small entrance fee) on the way back.
The climbs on this area are mainly used by the climbing schools for teaching beginners. The climbs are graded at 5a - 6b, with a multi pitch on one of the 6a+ routes. This is a nice shaded area to climb in the afternoon and roundnround - 21/Oct/07 |
