Smart little edge and boulders with a useful collection of routes and problems in a convenient and fine location. Worth a visit. Summer evenings are especially good and best avoid in winter.
Off-road parking just below Stump Cross Caverns (cafe here too). Go through the gate and down to the dry valley. Turn left, cross the stile and follow the wall uphill with a path appearing. Can be boggy so suitable footwear recommended.
Most of the new named problems I have added from the new YMC guidebook are probably duplicates of some already included with just numbers. Moderator to sort and move ticks as appropriate please.
As others have said this is a pleasant spot but most of the micro-routes seemed way over-graded to me. Dave Musgrove - 20/Jul/13 |

A great little spot - the rock is perfect silver moorland grit. The walk in from Stump Cross is a lot easier than it looks; just don't fall into any of the local mining heritage! John Hunt - 23/Mar/11 |

An idyllic crag for a warm summer's evening. Simon Caldwell - 04/Jun/10 |
