( NG 7737 2721 )   Partially Tidal   South facing

A south-facing semi-tidal sea-cliff under the A87. The top of the crag is marked with a big yellow diamond-shaped sign on a yellow pylon. There are a variety of lines with still many left to climb. Care should be taken with loose rock on some of the routes. It is possible to scramble around the shore at the base of the crag at all but the highest tide times but there are abseil points available for all sections of the cliff. The main abseil point is from the mast down the line of the route The Way Down. Having a separate abseil line in place is useful so you can return to the shoreline quickly. A 40-50m rope is required. (Topo provided.)

Approach:

The easiest access is to park at the viewpoint above the crag. Walk 100m east to gain access to the top of the cutting. Scramble along this until a way down to the yellow mast can be found. An alternative approach along the shoreline from the east is possible, parking at the layby at Sgalpaidh (NG 77735 27406) and accessing the shore.
