An often overlooked summit compared to the nearby Schilt, even though it is slightly higher and affords a better view, particularly to the geologically interesting west face of the Mürtschenstock. The Siwellen summit ridge is quickly reached at either end from the path on the south east side, with some short easy scrambling to be done.
Park at the Talalpsee above Filzbach for an ascent from the northeast.
