Anna Wild has made the first female ascent of Epic Adventures (8c), at Kilnsey, North Yorkshire.

The route was originally bolted by Gaz Parry, before Jordan Buys went on to make the first ascent in September 2014.

Epic Adventures is Anna's second route at the grade, having climbed True North (8c) just over a year ago.

The long and pumpy route is an extension to the 7b route Hardy Annual, which Anna climbed last June.

We got in touch with Anna earlier in the week, and she told us:

'I really enjoyed trying this route. It's very steep and sustained which is my favourite type of climbing. Once you start the hard climbing you don't get a rest which I really liked as it tested my endurance a lot and is unlike routes I've tried previously'.

Anna now heads to Céüse to take on some of the world class sport climbing that is has to offer.
