Duty Manager - Rockcity, Hull Jobs

Continuing 30 years of growth and development, Rockcity Climbing Centre in Hull is now looking to expand its team even further to include a new, experienced, Duty Manager.

Duty Managers are responsible for the day-to-day and safe running of the entire facility, under the direction of the Centre Manager. The successful candidate will have a good background in working within the climbing and especially indoor climbing industry.

The position is full time (37.5 hours per week) on a permanent contract and will include climbing instruction 2 days per week. As a NICAS and NIBAS Primary Centre, combined with both roped and bouldering courses, we are looking for the right person to motivate and energise those interested in a life of climbing.  

The successful applicant will already:

  • Hold a NGB climbing instructor qualification
  • Hold a current First Aid certificate
  • Be climbing at an advanced level
  • Have good customer service skills
  • Be a confident team leader
  • Have climbing instruction experience and knowledge of the NICAS and NIBAS scheme

The ideal candidate will also:

  • Hold a Development Coach Award or be well on the pathway to achieving this

Hours and Pay: we pay competitive rates for all jobs based on performance and experience. All wages exceed the Minimum National Living Wage standards and are comparative with all cities in the UK, including London rates.

This role will require some evening and weekend work.
