Description

We are seeking a friendly and adaptable Service Technician to join our team.  As a Service Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and functionality of our clients Auto Belays, climbing walls, Mobile walls and various other height safety systems all around the country. You will be responsible for performing regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs on the climbing walls and auto belay systems to ensure they are operating at optimal levels.

We are looking for someone who is highly skilled with a detail-oriented mindset and a passion for climbing. This is a mixed role partly based in the workshop on the Wirral but also with plenty of onsite servicing around the country.

Renumeration and benefits.

  • Salary of £25,000 to 28,000 depending on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular inspections on climbing walls and auto belay systems to identify any potential issues or areas that need improvement
  • Conduct routine maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting parts, to ensure the climbing walls and auto belay systems are operating smoothly
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose any malfunctions or technical problems with climbing equipment and height safety systems
  • Repair or replace faulty components and ensure all repairs are completed according to safety standards
  • Assist in the installation of new climbing walls and auto belay systems
  • Train staff members on the proper operation and safety protocols of the climbing walls and auto belay systems
  • Maintain detailed records of inspections, maintenance tasks, and repairs performed

Key Skills

  • Strong understanding of climbing wall techniques and safety standards
  • Full Clean UK Driving licence
  • Experience of working in a physical environment
  • Knowledge basic mechanical systems and their components
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform tasks accurately
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work around the country
  • Physical fitness and ability to perform climbing wall maintenance tasks as required
