Photo from Colin Read collect.
Colin and Johnny asked me to post some of their photo collection which I am very happy to do.
It was normal for us to prepare for an Alpine Trip by climbing in boots and often carrying a sack...climbing grades up to E1 was the norm.
Ken Jackson and I climbed the same route the following day wearing boots and sack. Special days with great memories.
