Best place to get an external hard drive please!
Needs to have Firewire. Doesn't need to be huuuuuuuge, 160Gb probably do me but I guess if (say) 320Gb is only a tenner more that's fine too

Amazon? dabs? overclockers?

Need it in Brighton by next Friday.

Thanks!

I got a 750 Gb from Curry's for£110ish, it's the Maxtor HDD it was the only one i could see with both Firewire and USB. Smaller Maxtors much cheaper!
J Lewis do a nice little 160gb Iomega for £60ish. USB only Lacie stuff is apparently are hard to get hold of at the mo, according to the Mac shop in Edinburgh?

In reply to dek: I've also a 160 GB Maxtor (a 'one touch' model for easy backups) - so far (about 18 months, maybe 2 years, no problems at all)

In reply to Blue Straggler: I just bought an external Drive enclosure which allows connectivity with firewire as well as usb, which allows a bootable drive to be made. It takes a standards 3.5" internal drive, was cheap (£30ish) and a doddle to do. TT-745 is the only ref on it, got it through amazon. Interal hard drive just sits in this enclosure, loads of deals for them about.

Cheers, I popped into Staples last night but they had no FireWire ones. Good deals for non-FireWire though
Does this look alright? WD are often recommended, the price looks good, the capacity is fine, is this company good with delivery?
